WHEN PLACING TILES & IN REGARDS TO THE COLORED BORDERS : - Green connects to Green - Light Green connects to Light Green - Yellow connects to Yellow - Black connects to any color - Black & Yellow connects to Yellow - Black & Green connects to Green - Black and Light Green connects to Light Green

WHEN PLACING MONSTER TOKENS ON THE TILES: At the start of the game, every closed or unliberated tiles should have 2 monster tokens. Once the game has reached end of a round, players will roll a D6 and a monster spawn dice to determine if and where new monster tokens will be added on the tiles. This means that tiles without numbers will NOT summon new monsters.

PLACING THE HERO STANDEES: Unless otherwise stated, place all Hero standees on the starting tile.

SETTING UP THE PLAYERS

  1. Sort out the story cards, discreetly hand one story to each player.

  2. Excluding the Vengeful soul cards, hand over three Hero cards to each player. Each player gets to choose one.

  3. Reveal the heroes you've chosen and discuss with your party what kind of class and role your hero will do in battle. You may discuss your objectives as well if you like.

  4. Based on that, build a deck for your Hero, starting with a minimum of 5 starter cards and 3 class cards for normal mode or 5 class cards for Blitz mode. (You may look and pick as you like)

  5. Place your corresponding Hero Standee on the starting tile.

  6. Grant starting player the Leader Token

  7. If first time playing: Give each player a random F-C Rank Quest/Bounty card so every player can pitch and discuss which bounty to tackle for the first round.

WHO GETS THE LEADER TOKEN? Either the oldest player, or the player that has played before... but ultimately it's up to the players discretion.

BEFORE YOU GIVE OUT STORY CARDS TO PLAYERS: make sure to check the little icons - some story cards are exclusively solo or exclusively co-op. Have players check their stories and objectives and ensure everyone understands and are comfortable with their role before starting the game.

DECIDING ON WHAT CLASSES TO PICK: Deciding what class to pick can be tricky, but it's part of the fun. We suggest for every player to choose different classes to begin with and then multiclass as the game progresses. However, once you've grasped the game a little better, feel free to try out all sorts of crazy builds and combinations.

ADVENTURE PHASE

Moving Guide:
  1. Your Hero's Agility = Agility points = Number of times you can move to adjacent tile.
  2. Moving to an adjacent tile = 1 Agility point cost / Discard a card
  3. Stealth = 2 Agility cost
  4. Players cannot move through a black border
  5. Monster tokens can move through black borders

COMING SOON:
  1. Coming Soon

ACTIONS YOU CAN TAKE DURING YOUR TURN: 1. Move to an adjacent tile (Cost=1 Agility point) (monster tokens will follow your standee to the adjacent tile and immediately trigger a battle) *Exception to the above is if there are more than 4 monster tokens in the tile, move the monster tokens first accordingly before obtaining the monster token from the tile. 2. Trade items with heroes in your tile. 3. Play Trap cards. (No limit) 4. Place cards in-play (No Limit) 5. Move (Stealth) (Cost=2 Agility point) (monster tokens do NOT follow your hero standee and no battle will trigger)
